Link Text and Location Copier is a Firefox web extension designed to streamline the process of creating links directly from the browser's context menu. This tool allows users to copy a link’s text and location, page title and URL, or selected text along with the page URL. Users can choose to copy these links in various formats such as plain text, HTML, Markdown, or BB Code. The add-on supports multilingual options, including English, Dutch, and German, and offers customization through its options page.
Despite its functionality, the extension has some limitations, particularly for versions of Firefox prior to 56, where the link title may appear as “undefined” and text selection is capped at 150 characters. Additionally, it cannot copy titles and URLs from pages within iframes, nor will it function if clipboard events are disabled. Users should also note that it does not operate on XML documents due to compatibility issues with the copy command.
